To create lampwork glass necklaces is used the lampworking which is a method of very ancient origin, evolving from century to century. To release the heat necessary to melt the glass it was used the flame of a lamp powered by the air conveyed by a bellows operated with the foot. Over the years this instrumentation has been replaced by a metal torch connected to a propane or methane gas cylinder, in most cases reinforced by oxygen emissions to increase the temperature of the fiery beam to be directed onto the glass.
The objects that lent themselves most to lampwork were above all beads.
